We have had a website & Pay Per click account for many years. Periodically the site would struggle in paid search results & organic search would be temperamental. What was worse we did not have any real idea what traffic it was attracting, from where or why.  It’s almost like the site was not ours.

When we first approached Digital Growth we were obviously keen to resolve the problems but were unsure as to how effective any means could be in the competitive online world & with such a small budget.

Digital Growth took the time to appraise us of the real situation and outlined everything in terms of a best advice approach, similar to that of a Pensions advisor, focussing on a long term strategy with short term objectives & indicating how the various parts of a Web site marketing strategy could fit together around what was appropriate for us as a business with different seasonal elements.

We are VERY pleased with the results as we now rank on page 1 for all of our target key terms in organic search & we understand what is happening with our site and our customers.

What is more, we are no longer spending wildly varying amounts of money each month on Pay Per Click advertising and not knowing what this is or isn’t generating.

With clicks doubled and costs halved we are targeting purchasing customers with our site.

Before Digital Growth helped us we had built our first web site over ten years ago & had changed twice in that time.  Sadly for us it is very difficult for us to pinpoint a solitary piece of business which came through any of our web sites in all this time. Ultimately we only had a web site because we thought we had to.

In 2012 we decided to make things work for us but we are professional sign writers, not digital marketing or technical web people and we only had a very small budget.

We decided to use a cheap simple template driven web site package which we could update easily when we wanted, and to make it work for us commercially we needed someone in our corner who was experienced, focussed & with a cohesive strategy that fitted our customer base & our objectives.

We were fortunately introduced to a new local company, Digital Growth. Digital Growth approved the decision we had made & immediately gave us pointers as to how we could make the project work. The matter was urgent & their focus was on us from the first meeting, not winning our business.

The main employee at Digital Growth had a long history in Corporate commercial web sites & from our very first meeting we knew we were dealing with someone who thought about commercial web sites very differently from the self-anointed local “experts” we had already spoken to.  He showed us some entirely new ways of thinking about what the site should do & that it was not an online brochure but much, much more.

He also made it clear that for success to come to us we had to take ownership of the web site & he explained the implications of this in terms of our internal processes. This prepared us for success.

We had a lot of competition, some with very deep pockets for Adwords campaigns which we do not have and some using techniques which would be frowned upon.

Our only option was to rank in natural search & to use our own semi-viral approach, mixing online with offline. Within a short period not only were we showing up on Google for more than our own ‘brand’ terms but for the generic terms as well, & the phone started ringing. We are often asked how we became so successful so suddenly. In truth it is a mixture of receiving the right, impartial, advice & acting upon it.

Always looking to improve, win more business & attract more work we were keen to speak to someone who could provide pointers.

We have a reasonably successful Adwords campaign through an external provider which is quite expensive. However, our site was not being found in Google organically for any desirable terms & we wanted to engage with a business who would look after our interests first, give us the truth about what needed to happen & help us improve our natural search results. Sadly, we had no one on our side. We also had no way of knowing what was happening on our web site or why.

Another area of concern is while we have a site that can be updated quite easily, unfortunately there is no-one in the business who has the time or necessary expertise to meet many of the additional tasks required to run a successful web site.

Digital Growth have gone three or four steps further than other Digital Agencies in that they looked at our overall solution and have helped us prioritise matters and have shown us the route to a more successful project.

They have conduced our key phrase research and optimised our web site and continue to manage this as the site grows. They also perform some updates should we need them.

While we are now organically showing on page one of Google for our desired brand terms Digital Growth are assisting us in additional, somewhat more obvious ways of improving our profile using legitimate and fair means.

These days have a very good idea of why people come to us and a strong idea about what to do to improve matters.

Having been professionally involved in several web projects before with the lead strategist at Digital Growth I knew the level of experience they had at their disposal. We are a multi million pound web project and for us getting the details as close to right as possible is imperative.

The first day long meeting with Digital Growth was extremely valuable and it made us think of way to yield multiple fold improvements almost immediately.  We were introduced to new strategic marketing concepts within our very particular and microcosm marketplaces & a plan for putting our best foot forward first to ensure that future investment yielded results far in excess of what they would have been.

As a successful international removals business we are always looking for ways to improve our return on investment. Having had numerous web applications over the years we had recently ordered a new web site to reflect our brand and ideals.

We were and still are very happy with the site’s performance but it was costing too much to update & add new pages and was not optimised because we had not known to do any underlying key phrase research. As a result the new site was not being found in natural organic search.

To compound matters we were contracted to a PPC / Adwords provider who was costing high amounts & yielding no results at all. In fact one sale in six months. We knew we needed to do something drastic & quickly to stem the flow of lost opportunity & benefit from our new site.

We were then introduced to Digital Growth through a mutual friend and we scheduled a meeting to try to understand what was happening and how we could turn around our fortunes.

The initial meeting was free and very fruitful. Digital Growth freely explained the realities of what was happening how their approach was different, impartial and conducted on a basis of ‘Best Advice’. It was clear they were concerned with the issue at hand, not just getting us onboard and we appreciated this.

They had concerns relating to our PPC activity, website update process and missing market research and explained the concept of key phrase research, optimisation & more relating to our daily tasks.

Several dozen emails were sent over the next six weeks where Digital Growth continually looked at our PPC activities to try to establish what was really happening.  It became quickly apparent that we were lacking in transparency with our supplier who didn’t fully explain the nature of the issue and who’s answer was “more money”.

A very difficult position for Digital Growth to be in, who did not (at that time) provideAdwords PPC Management  and had no interest in doing so. Their approach was professional and impartial but they did freely advise us on what questions to ask as they knew this was the most important area to resolve.

After some time of receiving no answers from our PPC provider we decided to ask Digital Growth a sensible course of action. They believed that the account could be run in house more effectively and advised that if it was at least someone in the business would know what was happening, would have insight into the working phrases and the business could at least grow in this area in their own right.

Digital Growth had acted selflessly and professionally and we decided to bring Adwords in house. We have run it successfully ourselves ever since. In fact our spend has now increase to over twice and the campaigns are successful enough to cover this.

Digital Growth have since competed our Key Phrase research and site optimisation and have conducted some of their own Search Engine Marketing. They also update our site. This isn’t a service they advertise. They do it because they know we need it and they charge only by the minute, not part hour.

Our website now competes organically and Digital Growth we are pleased to say have entered the Adwords arena and are already a Google Engage partner.

Computer Systems Engineering

We are an established provider of IT Network Support and maintenance and PC Manufacturer and components retailer. Digital Growth must GENUINELY be one of the most selfless, responsible companies we could imagine dealing with.

Like many of their clients we had a website which was under performing.  While all the technical details were in place we did not possess the internal knowledge or processes to make a success of the project.  We are technical people, not marketeers.

Digital Growth met with us on numerous occasions with the focus of every meeting being ‘how can we make this work’.  There have been at least a dozen calls where knowledge and expertise and in some instances time and resource have been freely given to help us change our fortunes.

We are doing a lot of the work ourselves and it is a work in progress but we now understand what is happening, what needs to happen and how to get there through proper of our analytical data.
