We all know that not only do Google offer and incredibly intelligent advertising platform, but that, deep down, very few advertisers are getting the potential on offer.

Few business owners want to go the extra mile, especially if they are already doing well. But the inherent danger of not using the technology on offer is, at some point, a new, hungry competitor will start up and could well unlock something that eats into your space. And in no realm is that truer than the ever changing world of Google Adwords.

The more info you give Google Adwords, the more variables it can play with and the more history it can call upon to auto target your customers. But the great, unspoken, low hanging fruit is getting the geographic targeting set up properly. This not only lets you learn about your customers, but also allows you to target them in a granular and understandable way, with just the right weighting.

But even then, we still see £100,000 a month accounts with problematic structure and targeting that affords them no information. Set up in haste, favouring speed over the long term. Some even inadvertently doubling up on targeting, effectively shilling their own bids on what successful keywords they have.
